Replaced front wheel bearing hubs on both sides, OMG, the ASTRA is so quite now, can not believe I drove a noisy ASTRA in the past three years and assume ASTRA is a noisy car. No, it's the worn bearing issue.
FYI, I got two genuine wheel bearing hubs from AUTOVAUX, $300 including shipping, arrive in 5 days, by DHL, THIS TIME THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME THE PARCEL INSPECTION FEE.
changed the oil with penrite diesel hpr15
Stripped the dash/centre console. The shroud around the dials, the black plastic inside the cluster and sprayed it all white. Looks awesome. Now just need to refit it all.
Done in either a hub or a wheel bearing. Sounds like I'm driving on 4wd tyres when theres load on the left hand side of the car.
changed oil
rotated wheels
got rid of zipties holding front number plate and bolted it in.
adjusted fog lights to be aimed high enough to use as high beams due to shitty high beam setup in angel eyes. :D
also put on some jdm spec stickers.
Dropped my car off at the mechanic, back right brake was making a crunchy sound which I wasn't a fan of so il find out what it is later today I suppose.
Nope, I had a look last night and the pad between the caliper piston and the rotor had disappeared so everytime I was touching the brake the piston would push on the caliper, I don't know how that happened cos they were both in there when I put it back together. Started on Friday, haven't driven it since then cept to tale it to the mechanic, but it's all sorted now :)
Bought stuff then got p*ssed off its not finished yet!!!
