Versatile low profile design which allows superior handling in high speed conditions. Sleek tread pattern coupled with Kenda NMA technology creates a perfect combination of performance and comfort.
The Clio comes with Conti Sport 3's and I couldn't really fault them. Quite with decent grip. Mine were close to gone at 41 000 km's.
Now replaced with Bridgestone S001's for $215 per tyre. They are a small step up from the RE002's.
Only fitted today so it's hard to give an opinion just yet but if they are anything like the RE002's I had on the Astra I'll be very happy :)
If anyone is out to replace Veccy C 17" tyres I must recommend Michelin Primacy LC tyres. I opted for an extra 5% profile for increased bumper clearance plus I often travel on crappy roads and the 215/55/R17 Michelins are amazing. They're quiet, grip like glue and are still hanging in after 80,000km of tough driving. I paid $240 fitted and balanced but have been quoted $179 for replacements in Melbourne recently. I honestly wouldn't have anything else after my experience with them.
As did my Megane RS. Only problem for me is the cost.
Running the Good Year Asymmetric II's for now and they are a good all rounder, have lasted near 20,000km also witch I think is rather good for a performance tyre on a hypo FWD driven by a mad man.
Has anyone run Continental Sport Contact 2 tyres? Any feedback?
I am being offered some 2010 stock @ below $200 a corner (215-40-18)
I had CS2s on my car for about 30,000km. They were 2007 stock (it was 2010 when I was using them). Weren't too bad for a road tyre. If you want to push them through twisties though, they take a little while to warm up
Mostly city driving and the odd touring weekend is all I have planned ATM. I take it the 30000 k's implies a reasonable balance of grip and durability so for the price they seem suitable...
