I'll get around to it eventually... unfortunately its not a priority. if it died I'd just use the macbook, wouldn't be much of a loss tbh

AMD Phenom II 955 Black Edition
6GB kit - Patriot Signature

Seagate SATA 320GB
Vantec ION2+ 600w PSU.
will run Windows 7 RC. which i have finally gotten off my arse and put to disc. thanks APC :D
Just arrived, just waiting on c/master 1000w modular psu to come in so it can be slapped together......no AMD crap here.
let me know how the P6T goes. my mobo decision is between that and the UD4P
I have always used the Asus boards...Love'em...Off to buy a new HDD this weekend....I need more storage...I think a 2Tb drive should do... ;)
I thought about one of those...Seriously quick startup etc....
Not 100% though on if they are worth or long term stable...
they are a bit pricey, and hopefully one day soon they will replace conventional platter HDD's. would think they will be more stable due to having no moving parts. i've seen HDD's fail within months, but never seen a flash drive fail. i've got a 32mb lying around somewhere that still works. its 6 years old.
i wouldnt get one yet
they have a read/write life cycle
with flash drives that fine, but with a hdd thats constantly reading and writing to kills em pretty quick so i hear
hey gman wat can u pick up a 2tb sata drive for?
I'll have to check...Not sure btu I'll let ya know... ;)
My HDD died. All my data lost...
i been meaning to do that since i lost about 8 years worth of stuff :(
ive never even looked into it... is it hard to do?
Yeah and the place we took it to offered to install a new HDD...
HDD - $(145, 500GB, $37.50 installation fee)
Remove all the 'apparent viruses from the second HDD :/ ($150)
and install the old O/S that was on there beforehand, which I got for free... ($150)
I was like uhh no i'll just take the original fee for finding the problem etc.
Man thats insane prices!
XP pfffff, put Windows 7 on it
you will never look back
very nice wok mate!!
you wll love it!
problem is my hacks don't work well in win 7 yet hence sticking with XP ;-)
which ones ?
ah u bastard, taking advantage of my failing laptop keyboard
You could just buy two 1TB drives and run them in RAID 0 which would be cheaper and much faster, improving load times, read and writes
How about 2 x 2Tb drives striping in Raid 0 which is why I bought the 2nd drive... :)
I am running these in Raid 0 and have a seperate automatic back up running in parallel...I wanted the Raid 0 for speed...Eventually I want to get 4 x 2Tb drives running in Raid 0...Prob is then I will need a HUGE back up :)
