There is one in Clayton and another one in Dandenong but they dont seem to have late model cars ( I mean 2005 onwards -They may get one or two but in very bad condition).
I have noticed people smash the windows, rip and destroy bits they dont need to get to what they want to buy:mad: but overall, it ends up being so much cheaper and they give things like original screws and clips for free:D
weve had one in west sydney for ages.
u have to pay to go in there though.
and it depends on the mood of the guy at the window on the way out as too how much they charge u even though they have a set list of prices posted up on the way in.
Some things they remove and have a shop type place for them though.
i think its a good idea actually.

i love pick and paymore in blacktown. if you need something small, or something that a mainstream wrecker wont carry, you go there, pull the item off your self and whizzz bang usually dont get charged for it.
it also helps having a whole bunch of different models and cars out in the yard as you can go around and try to pull a part of a different car.
we used to have on in wetherill park called "dunkers u pull it" i think, that place was great till it closed and the owner sold the whole place to a developer, who apparently would have to pay a fortuned to remove all this top soil before he could start building.
now the whole block stands empty.
agree with Harry.. . who would rather spend 15 mins telling an illiterate grease monkey exactly which piece of trim you're after and then have them charge you a retrieval fee for a poorly removed (ie screwdriver, hammer) item.. when a few mins of your own time could be spent to find the best quality part available (or even a better one from a later model)
piy ftw!
yeah, things like clips, screws...you just cant get them from a normal wrecker...thats where these kind of junk yards come in handy :-)
