yer all new cars will have the feature, i think the new commodore will have it too
obv they have done the figures, but wouldnt start stopping the motor use more fuel and be worse for the motor?
most of car with that feature save around 10~15% fuel I heard.
First ive heard of the Commodore having it, i know some of the new BMW/Mini cars have it, and is a good system.
The starter motor in these new cars uses very little energy so max fuel can be saved when switching the car on and off.
The Mini Cooper D quotes 3.9l/100km from memory
i hate the idea of these tech.. id get so scared of the car not starting again haha
Mazda have a pretty cool implementation that doesn't require a starter motor to restart the engine:

All 2012 Diesel Opel Vehicles are having stop start tech on them. Will eventually be across the board on all Opel Vehicles.
wouldnt it need a stronger altenator/battery to keep stop starting though
