Cost of Installing Shocks and Springs?

just got my shocks and springs from gforce (thanks mate) and rang my mechanic for a quote to install them. He said 3 hours work, so $240 all up. Does that sound okay? I was going to attempt it myself with the help of a mate but he is in Timor...

package was $750 and the springs on there own they wanted $550

price looks good for fitting both springs and shocks...just springs is normally around $200.

i paid $160 for spirings and shocks to be fitted and alligned in the front and fitted the rears myself .. rears are really easy, quiock and cheap to fit..

yerr i would have done the rears my self but there was no way i was going to do the front.

It was just easyer to pay some one to do it

exactly... you need a big 22mm deep socket whoch is hard to find and ball joint rempovers or heaps of force and it takes agaes plus it includes a wheel alignment so ended up being $120 for teh front basically .

do the rears yourself..

i am lucky aswell because i needed my guards lip[ rolled and so i got it done on the spot

got a new price, $120 for the front struts and springs, $40 for the rear, $35 for the alignment... dont have the tools or space to dothe rears myself, for $40 it isn't worth the hassle.

thats cheap..

rear should only be 1 bolt down the bottom and a nut up the top.. all you need is sockets/spanners but yeah its not worth the hassle for that much
