hi,

i read on one of the Polish motorist sites that the "Australian Elfin MS8 production is to start..."

Could this be? What do you think, how much will it cost to purchase?

Yep that's true. The Elfin pricing is as follows:

MS8 Clubman

MS8 'Sporster' - $98,785
MS8 'Roadster' - $103,275
MS8 'Racer' (not registration compliant) - Prices pending spec.

MS8 Streamliner

MS8 'Roadster' - $135,850
MS8 'Racer' Spec (not registration compliant) - Prices pending spec.

Impressive times for the Streamliner 0-100km/h in 4.8secs and the 1/4 in 12.7 @ 180km/h.

only thing is, the car isn't a Holden. Athough the car has a lot of connections with holden, eg design and engine and some parts, the car isn't a Holden

Would love to take one for a spin!!

Exactly. Elfin came together with the Holden design team to develop these 2 vehicles.

Yes Elfin are an Australian manufacturer, have been here for years. Built in Aus for Aus. Based in Victoria.

They have made an arrangement recently with Walkinshaw Performance to supply production engineering and marketing expertise, for the launch of the MS8 Streamliner and MS8 Clubman. The Streamliner has been given ADR compliance approval and the Clubman should follow soon.

Now if they were available for around $35-$40k they would sell faster than their ability to build them and everyone would be happy.

What good is a $100k car if it only sells 4, but oh well you would assume they have done their market research.
