We had a very large vauxhall Bedford Opel Association 'gathering' in the UK at the weekend.....i have pulled some pics off of the VVOC site and stuck them up for you to have a look at - I think they are cool - mainly of our club Vectras but there are a few 'odd shots'

I hope i am not breaking site rules - If I am PM me and i can amend

Cheers guys !

ENJOY !

the boot install was mega !! - there were a vast number of Vecs from the VVOC - A field of Calibras, some MK1 Astra GTE's & tonnes of old Mantas (which were cool)

There we hundreds and hundres of cars ranging from Classic stuff to the up to date VXR vectra and Astra 888

Weather was good (Managed to get sun burn) and the compant was better ;)

Thousands of people turned up nd made it a right good turn out !!!!

any corsa c's?

Greggy

Not too many Corsa C's - Not too sure why - they arent realy deemed
'club worthy' for some reason by the VBOA - Over here Corsas in general have a huge following but in places attract (as you would say) Hoons !

As the event is more about 'clubs' than individuals, there dosnt seem to be many Corsa clubs (that have would have been invited by the VBOA comittee)

Was a good show - will be going for the whole weekend rather than just the sunday.. !

I will see if I can find any corsa snaps and post them..

What is 'corsa fashion' down under these days ?

No, you're quite right. Holden in their infinate wisdom decided we weren't cut out for a Corsa, so we call them Barinas.

We have more of a hoon problem with the Commodores (or 'Commonwhores' as they're sometimes known as). Though rego and insurance is much tougher (read: expensive) in the UK, is it not? I remember hearing the Citroen C2 is also a popular little car amongst young drivers?

yeah, the C2, the Citroen Paxo (Sorry, Saxo) the Peugeot 106 and the Corsa's are the main stay of 'Barry boyz' / Hoon population of the UK....I mean some have been modified well and are taken care of, but most are driven by brainless fools......Has the expression "CHAV" made it over there yet ?? - Google it - all will become clear ;)

yeah, insurance is pretty expensive for young drivers - One guy ob VVOC wanted a Diesel vectra 1.7TD - basic LS no mod - and they wanted over £2000 (about 4000 AUS $) he was 19 !!!!
