anyone read the motor review of the VXR V's The XR5?

Its the new one not out yet though i had a preview copy well i seen a preview copy, and i will let you all in on this much, the VXR comes out on top of the XR5 in 0-100 and also the 1/4......

yeah forgot too mention that they got the times stuffed up for them both as they quoted 1/4 mile times in the 13's and 0-100 in mid 5's hehehehe, but if you read the article itself you get the real times.

There is only one car that comes to mind that is going to be quicker then the VXR. MPS 3 . And when i say that im refering "On Paper" Its yet to be proven.

only trial i have seen is the 6 mps which recorded a time of 15.51 sec for 0-100mph and in the same test the VXR recorded 14.33 sec

The Mps6 is roughly 300kg heavier than a MPS3. Ever chance the mazda may be faster than a VXR


That said it is pretty easy and cheap to chip a Golf Gti to match the MPS3 figures.

0-100km times are almost identical so would really come down to driver and gear changes,

apparently it came out today i heard?


anyone else got it and read it yet?


oh well the VXR came in 0-60 in low 6sec and the XR5 in the high 6sec(i think from memory)


and the VXR in the 1/4 ran a 14.75 while the XR5 did it in 15.23(i think)

Yep the VXR proved it's the performance king out of the two... shouldn't surprise anyone really... :cool:

The issue is out today i believe. :)

yeah the king out of them 2 that is for sure.but as for others well yeah...
