I'd almost believe it - when I got mine, insurance put down total value to like $18K, and it was just the base model plus wheels.

Of course, in 2 years, that figure has dropped as quick as my pants.

yeh well there are plenty of idiots out there that think the more stuff the do to their car they will get it all back eg:

one fullysick lancer - 16k new
+ disgusting chromies 17' - 3k cos they dont know jack...
+ bodykit - 2k....cos they prolly got recommended there by the guy they got the rims off...
+ stereo with subwoofa - 2k cos thats what the reciepts say..

now they think they have a car worth at least 24k...when we all know its a 16k POS and all the extras prolly add about 2k value...
