Hi folks,

Could any of you suggest a good (well honest) place to find a time, date and temp display for a GL (JR) 1998 Vectra? This is the smaller basic one with no warning lights.

Mine has is starting to die and is now unreadable.

Ringing around Holden Spare Parts and asking auto sparkies, I get varying prices ranging from $180 second hand, up to $340 new.

Just would like an honest opinion from ppl in the know.

Thanks in advance

Oh by the way,

Green Vectra
5 speed man (2.0)
GL
180k on the clock

has been a great car but starting to show its age!

that might be fixeable, there is tutorials on the uk forums about fixing it, basically the contacts and ribbon cables get corroded so the screen doesnt work priperly, cleaning them fixes the problem

Sorry I can't help you with sourcing a display, but I can tell you that they are called a Triple Information Display or TID for short - might help when searching.

What area are you from?
If you're in Victoria, try contacting Bennett Motor Wreckers on Bennett Street, Dandenong. They have a heap of Opel parts. I'm sure they would even send it to you.
Give them a try.
Hope that helps.
