There was a previous thread a few months abck about replacement M3 door mirrors. Mines broke and I am thinking of fitting some chromes with LED from Aussie supplier.

Has any one fitted replacement mirrors!??! Whats involved and how handy do you need to be to fit them etc?

Can't find A 'How to' for this one, any thoughts appreciated

Thanks for the link, that should be a piece of cake to fit.

Just need to decide on which to get. the indicator mirrors are on all the new schmick Jap, euro cars so not exactly tacky although I am having second thoughts about going chrome for the mirror, maybe just go black with LED or somethin

i mean tacky on our cars as they are high class luxury cars and these are cheap copies of them.

dont get me wrong i want the mirrors aswell but they would be slightly different to the merc and bmw standard ones!

a mate at work has heaps of mods stuff that he seems to collect for project cars, he had a pair of the sort I wanted but the quality is 'a little dubious' and of course you forego the ability to adjust the mirror from the inside too.

wires show from the inside of the indicator lens and seams are not moulded smoothly so I am put off by that,

may chase a wrecker for a spare instead
