Dont be so Sure Blueraven about them not doing Modifactions for the VXR. HSV Are about to move into the ugrade market for the Commodore baised products. Certain Products will be able to be fitted at a dealer to your HSV Clubsport that are offered on the DTS Models. And now HSV are about to do go into profomance parts i cant see why they wouldnt offer them to the VXR Clients as well.

NO
my VXR would eat it for breakfast but it aint standard but saying that either is the 888 cdti
but for an oil burner very well impressed, would be a great car for my misses as her work car, one thing it does have over the VXR is the 4 pot brakes but you guys wil be getting AP 4 pots as standard, i am just awaiting for mine to arrive and be fitted.
Really is a very well put together car and handles well and is very quick with the sports mode engaged, would upset many petrol hot hatches around ;)

any news about this guys? any chance we can get the twin ECU remap here in Oz? love the dual personality thing, with or w/o the sport button pressed. 400Nm torque, mmm... and performance close to a stock VXR from my $30k drive away diesel... how cool would that be?

there's a 888 rep here, wonder if they could they forget about those V8s for a moment and get some steroids in my oilburner? :)

This car was profiled on 5th gear a while back.....you've gotta be prepared to live with black clouds following you around like a bad smell every time you drive hard with one of these.

Good performance, but still no match overall against a stock VXR, except in the mid range, rolling start acceleration.

I agree with BR, ie: don't hold your breath for HSV to offer performance upgrades for the AH, they can't even be bothered setting up their VXR web page properly! they're not really interested in the 4 potter bridgade, it's just a niche market thing for them.

Even if they did, could you imagine the price they'd slap on things.

You'll have more luck with GMH offering upgrades from the Walkinshaw parts bin for the AH Sri t.

wrong my freind, I don't have to live with black clouds, the ones left behind at the lights do :) just kiddin', ofcourse
honestly, i don't see the problem here. is it a such a shame to smoke a little? everybody would know you're belting a diesel and not an exploded engine

No it's not a real problem.

From what I've seen, stock oilers don't seem to leave a plume of black smoke behind.

The modified/tuned ones do, probably because of a relaxed exhaust system, or the stock system can't handle the additional combustion pollutants.

Each to their own, I personally hate anything black or especially blue/black coming out of the rear.....

Hopefully too you won't get dobbed in by 'green noses' from that EPA thing to dob in a smoking car, those nuts wouldn't know the difference if it was a diesel powered car.
