During my crazy search for a turbocharger for my 1.8 Astra, i found this article on the Autospeed website (28 Jan 2005)...

Does anyone own/know who owns this car on this forum? Just wanna know what setup its got in it and what kind of 1/4 mile times its doing now over a year on since that article was done! Also how much its cost to do all the mechanical work (most importantly)! 13 seconds is f...ing quick for a 1.8 Astra so well done whoevers car it is!

hmm very interesting. i thought the barina sri on here was the first turbo 1.8 but it looks like i was wrong. i wonder how its going now and if its runing quicker times?

Its not. There was a red Astra G 1.8 with a turbo.
Few years back.

was it a newer fly by wire astra or older model? thats the pain in the a$$ about the newer cars.

I remember seeing the brown one in the back of a Hot4s mag when I was flipping through a few months ago... it was at a drag event or something
