Right i went to get some price on 2 bits of plasic in an attemt to make a new split install easyer.

In the UK Vux charge just over 5 pounds each for the 2 bits as i am told by another person i have talked to. So that works out to be $14. well gess wat how dose $40 each sound. So pi$$ed off that one i am not going to get the parts for 2 weeks and also that i have to ask my Grandad in Newcastle to go get em for me and my new splits cant go in till i get the new parts.

Any one else now of over priced parts comaped to Euro and Brit prices.

i have had prices for various parts such as

an oil pressure sensor...$390 from holden...autovaux sent one to me from england faster that holden could for $89 delivered.

an oxygen sensor was $295 from holden...$110 from autovaux delivered within 7 days.

I wasnt 12 but i remember at the time the factory alloys were a 'funny' size, no alignment parts or anything were available if you (could) changed rims and was only ONE tyre type available at like $400 each or something ridiculous like that.

wouldnt help, but back then an 'imported' holden was something scary

yep, this is true, you wouldnt think it was more aerodynamic than a mcclaren f1..or ALL the ferrari/lamborghini range ;)

i dont remember them new/advertised either...but they were in showrooms until 1998. Mine was sold in 1991 for 37990. in 1991, that was a hell of alot of money for what the car was. the turbo calibra was 65k when it was released...imagine what you can biy today for 65k...and then think about how much 65k could buy you in 1995...

holy crap... 65K... you can buy an EVO 8 or 9 for that much.. and i'd much prefer that

What is the cars Drag Co-efficient?
Lexus claims that their IS250 has worlds lowest, making it the most aero-dynamic. If a calibra is lower than 0.28, then i want to be the 1st to call up lexus head office!

you bet your ass it is..

The 1991 vauxhal/opel calibra 8v has an aerodymanic drag co-efficient of 0.26.

(all other model are 0.29 due to wider wheels/grills/bodykit/indicators)

i dont know about the lexus..but i do think some othe car has a lower drag these days.. i think one of the hybrid cars is as low as 0.23..)
