Well after a long discussion...new car, new wheels...i have made a 80% decision <motorshow pending>.

I have sold my suzuki with my 18's and have decided to buy 18's for my corsa...as everyone seems to like my 17's. :D

Been lookin around...and was wondering what ppl opinion is on these wheels..and any other designs of interest..

18 X 7.5 215/35 R18 W84 tyres

Already thought about...

With the extra cash...im doing a front brake upgrade...need new pads soon...so i have already sourced from work.. 304mm slotted disc and going to get vectra calipers and hub... so 5 stud design..

Also checked with Main Roads and insurance...and as long as it is done properly with an engineers cert...im good to go..

sounds good.

but is it worth it just for those mags?

the barinas arent really fast enough to worry about a brake upgrade!

i think they are 15x5.5 as it isnt the SRi. Would be good to get one so my 17s are kinda legal ;)

your 17's are legal...

my car didnt come with a placard <illegal> or holden/tyre place took it off before i took delivery..

i think yours says 14 X 5.5 steel.

But laws..well in QLD neways...so 2 high..1.5 wide on the highest standard legal for your car..within 2% of rolling diameter to keep speedo in check..

so im placing 18 X 7.5.. legal..becoz biggest on a corsa standard is 16 X 6 <SRi>

yes ppl say this...

but as the SRi came with different supsension its different to a stocky.

I can only go 2" higher than the highest on the placard with is 16" high.

my mates XR6T came with 17s and 18s as an option, so the placard lists both. He is now rolling on 20s!!!!!!!!

it says 6 J x 15 and lots of other numbers the pic didnt work cos it came up blank:confused:

They are 15's and they were standard.

i hate to say this, but im not sure about going too big, as it will one, certainly slow your car down, and 2 most likely adversely affect handling..

SRi front brakes are CRAP, they feel very soft and dont brake hard at all.

Its a 1.4L ....i dont think you could really slow the performance...

Its a corsa ...not even a SXi.so handling...what handling it stock...and you can always fix that for a few hundred $$$ and have better handling than a SRi.

And you can NEVER go too big on bling for your car....i seen a RAV4 yesterday with 22" chromies.. :p

Hmm. I reckon that RAV would be far too bling.... If there's one tye of vehicle that annoys me more than a 4x4, its a 4x4 with wheels that render it useless off road. There should be a rule: have your macho 4x4 or have a road car - not some oddball thing that's impractical AND handles badly. It's the worst of both worlds, really...
