well a new one is according to holden.com.au is $25,990. and no one ever pays that price + Delivery + the on roads. WA has the highest ORC. guessing maby $2500. SO thats $28490.

It was listed in FHM last year in the top 5 new cars of 06 With the highest insurence tags for under 28's. So i guess itsa lot

The wrx was in there some were. cant remember wat else was in there but the rest were 60k+ and the Astra had the smallest engine out of em

my turbo only cost about $200 more than a 1.8

i pay $829 26yo med risk suburb rating 1..

im thinking of taking up the AAMI flexi-premium, i.e. pay $2,000 excess per at fault claim & halve your premium, i.e $415 p.a.

Well i have not gotten a quote just yet but im a p plater (Bloody p plater)
already lost my licence so i think it might be a bit high under my name.
might do some quotes tonight. maybe put it in my old man's name like i have atm.

current paying $1300 year $2000 excess. for astra cd hatch in oldmans name me driver.

turbo quote in oldmans name me driving $2000 a year with $2000 Excess.

Might wait till october till i can get my full licence and see :(

you can't buy a new CDX AUTO coupe for less than 28k without the Mastercard rebate

I happened to have talked to my dealer today cos my friend is interested in an AH CD manual, and he reckons that you would be looking at $26,000 on road. So then add $2,000 for Auto tranny, and $2,500 extra for the CDX and we are talking around $30K before any negotiations take place. Cant really call the one on Ebay a rip off then, especially considering how few second hand AH's are on the market...
But yes, turbo would be far nicer than the 92kw you get to work with!

Seriously, over priced. It was parked next to a 04 XC CD asking 15k with 60k on the clock. The guys up there are good at selling the new cars but the 2nd stuff never moves.

my 03 xc sxi had 30k on the clock and the caryard only gave me $10K for it i dont think they sold it for that much tho... they had it advertised for $14,990 to begin with...

I've got an AH CDX Coupe. I paid about $27,000 for mine and I had to go looking outside of Canberra to find a dealer that had one. I didn't really get a better price looking outside of Canberra but I didn't have to wait eight weeks for the next delivery.

Do it, save the $400.....unless you plan on having an 'at fault' accident in that beautiful car. I cancelled my last policy 6 months in and the rebate covered the 12 months with AAMI, effectively 6 months free insurance

and just to upset a few $25k is almost XR6Turbo territory....unless you are looking for premium sound and leather $30k+.....or a WH gen3 with $5k for gofast bits.....or a MY01 WRX (around $23k) or for a semi sleeper - Forester GT($20k)

Yeah, standard mats... go figure. The dealers can't "chuck" many smaller freebies in 'cause it has them already. I think there is even a slight tint to the windows too.
