well we used to have one off costs, the only ones that had yearly fees on them were if u had Custom plates, ie all numbers or all letters, but now the revenue raising RTA has decided to charge a yearly fee on all person alised plates

Because, I want my car registered in New South Wales. I hate having personalised plates. It makes the car too easy to identify!

Hmm... *calls family in Tamworth*

What does it take to get your car registered there?

as weird as it sounds....

EL BURITO

Is there a difference in the yearly registration costs? And cant you get away with only handing back one of the plates like when they get nicked

I presume 83 is your year of birth? If so, be really sure you want to let everyone else on the road know how old you are. my first set of personalised plates had my initials with my years of birth. had them for a year or two, then got sick of them and sold them on my pulsar et. anyways, that's my two cents.

mine cost me just over 400 bucks a year...

i'm not a fan of having my birth year date on plates either

thats just my 3 cents :)

Yeah but when you think here in QLD plates like yours cost a one off fee of $2095 I think, or it might be $2195... hmm, anyways. Ok, you say it's worth it and I believe you. They look good.

They are talking about here in QLD taking the funding from speed cameras and RBT away from using on the roads to creating driver education classes... pfft, I don't agree with that.

Maybe NSW are doing something similar!

Government rocks!
