THAT IS TERRIBLE!
What would possess someone in their right mind to contemplate keying an Astra wagon, or any car?

Its KRAP ... Im so sorry to hear it.

I had the passenger doors keyed about 3 months ago, shopped around and got it repaired for a fantastic price of $400. There was nothing else they could do but strip them back and re-spray and luckly it wasn;t too far up the door and could be blended.

I have NO quick fix ideas sorry!

your not the only one there , my barina got scratched at the back on the boot with a rock bout 2, 15 cms scratches, 1 week after getting the car , it kills ya, sorry to hear that
ive ask how much to get fixed, with my scratch, the whole boot needs repainting, metalic paint isnt easy to touch up, if the car is white, it makes things alot easier

I had my SRI Astra damaged by hail... :( Had to have the whole car resprayed but I suppose the positive to this is that they can put a thicker clear coat on than Holden.

This means polishing will not damage into the top coat too much and by the time it does I won't have the car.

I feel your pain....I almost cried when I saw the dents in every pannel.

well what are you bogans doing at westfield miranda to start with? :p

im sorry to hear that has happened.

Similar thing happened to my mum a few years ago. She bought a Mazda 323 Protege SP20 Sports Edition (only 250 bought in to Aus) and 2 weeks later is was keyed on EVERY panel and the whole car had to be re-sprayed

what wankers.

i am lucky enough to not have this happen to me (touch wood)

guess adelaideians arent as silly as you sydneyers!

could always just touch it up for now, dodgy touch ups look better than black scratches.

could also go fast and the furious style with custom graphics and just cover them for noW!!!

There must be a group of little #$%&* that prey on nice cars in Miranda Fair. I had a company car a couple of years ago and had the same thing happen. The car was parked for no longer than 1 hour.

its temping to sit there (in hiding) all day this saturday and keep an eye out for anything suss and hopefully catch the little fukers!

i would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

here's an idea:

Had mine keyed on the quarter panel... only about 8 cm long but deep, went to get a quote and they want 450 to do it.. cos you can't just blend the topcoat.. it flakes and peels if not done right.
