Hi all
Just after some opions/comment/negative reinforcement about this product i'm thinking of getting..
What do we think of this?
Now i might be a little slow but i cant see where the reverse pulley uppy thing is.. and it's supposed to be for a astra/calibra
i'm thinking of buying one..

That would be the groove in the stalk just under the knob.
Bugger to put in I hear.

ahhh i thought it might have been that.. but wasnt really sure..
the website it's on says it's a simple installation.. which means simple for someone who has done it a million times, and a right pain for someone who has never done it before ie. me

it's $309 from www.modyourcar.com.au i dont really want to pay that price, i'd rather find something cheaper elsewhere, but that seems to be only one i've found so far..

If you get a short shifter it makes changing gears faster right?
But when you change gears heaps fast you get the crunch ??

309 is a pretty good price IMHO!!!

i guess that depends on if you know how to change gears properly.. i'd really be after one for the bling factor..

if all you want is the bling factor why go for a short shifter kit?
Surely a new chromed up gear knob would do the same trick........

occasionaly i like to drive fast and slam thru the gears quickly.. plus i prefer short shifters to longer ones..

they're not too bad from what I hear...the price seems expensive to me, but B&M are a quality brand so...install shouldn't be overly difficult

Check out Rocket Industries at Huntingwood (Eastern Creek) they sell them a bit cheaper, but they have a tendency to stuff you around with delivering on time.
