I came across this vid, never heard of the engine before, seems bmw's were fitted with this opel engine. this one's been heavily modified

BMW's never came with that engine from the factory.

S14, S50, M50, M44, S62 are all types of BMW engines.
Z20LET, C20LET, X14XE, Z18XE, etc etc are types of engines as well.

E30LET is not

E30LET implies that it would be a 3.0L, the picture shows a 4 cylinder.

But that head doesn't look big enough to support a 3.0L and I dont think I've ever seen a 3.0L 4 Cyl petrol engine before.

arhh...I'm more confused now than what I was when I started.:(

Maybe there is something in the name...E30, thats a model of BMW isn't it.

Why you would ripped out the beautiful M5 6 cylinder engine to whack in a 4 cylinder engine baffles me

Unless.... what they are really talking about is a first series M3 with originally has a 2.3-2.5L 4 cylinder engine.
