View Full Version : I meshed up my grill :D what you think????

As it says,
i got a bit bored the other day...
what do you guys think???

Well its actually really basic to do.
bottom grille

1. Take off the front bumper.
2. remove the black middle grill and side fog lights
3. cut the mesh to fit in the gap from the back.
4. Put the fog lights back over the mesh and the middle black grill (this holds the mesh in place)

top grill
1. cut the mesh to fit in the top grill.
2. poke hols in the original grill using a nail ( make sure this is hidden in the corners)
3. attach each piece of the grill using small wire through the mesh then through the orignial grill (where the holes were made)and twirl it at the back (the same colour as the mesh so it isnt visable)
4. repeate for each piece

5. put the bumper back on

and its as good as GOLD.

the Mesh cost $30 from Sydney Special Vehicles. and there is still left over

The foggies still work the exact same.
I didnt notice any difference in the brightness etc....
and now i got a way of gettin out of the fine.....

Good job... although I would have gone black mesh to break up the silver

i was thinking,
but as my wheels r more chrome than black (reverse shadow chrome) i decided to keep it silver
i mite photoshop it black and see wat it looks like.

tell me the story of the fog lights?

why are you being hassled by the cops re the foglights?

In NSW your not allowed to drive with them on (unless its foggy or raining heavily)
Its a two hundred and something fine. (which i cant afford)
so now if i have them on and the cops see i turn them off and they magically disapear behind the mesh which you wont be able to see through at night.

So if the cops try and give me a fine for having fog lights on. i will just say,
"sorry officer, i dont know wat you are talking about, what fog lights?"
