is there a way to lock your licence plates to the car. i wanna buy personal plates but don't wanna get them nicked.

Easiest way, is to replace the phillips head screws (+) with either bolts or torx screws. Most people looking to steal number plates would normally be armed with a philips head screwdriver or a flathead, if they see that trying to take yours would be too much work, they'd simply move on to the next car.

It's all about deterring the little buggers
