While my car is being repaired, I thought I would take some time to look at small things that I can do to improve its looks.
Wheels seem an obvious choice, but Ive got no idea what PCD the AH astra is. Anyone got any idea? (i think thats the spacing of the bolts, yes?)
Having said that, will these wheels fit? And do you think they suit the car?

Seems like a good price... I'd prob only go for 17's as rubber for 18's costs double.

they will suit the car.. trust me they have eben on many astra's and barina's :) including my old barina

these are also known as BSA291's if you want to check out the prices of them as a comparison

there is only one problem i can see with them... they are 5 stud..... is your car 4 or 5 stud....

they wont fit.

ah astra is similar to many opels, 5x110 pcd. offset should be about 40+.

Their offset is +42, which seems to be OK for the Astra, but how close does the PCD have to be? Is it a matter of getting it to match exactly? These wheels are
PCD 5/120 or 5/114.3...

is that not close enough?

definately not close enough.... unfortunately tho, they are nice wheels.....

The seller of the wheels (located in Braeside, VIC) has emailed me and told me that they have a new drilling machine, and could drill the holes to allign with my particular PCD..... is this true? Can you move the location of the holes??

drilling wheels can be done. however ive never got a completely confident straight answer to the safety and legality on it.

re: the legality, ring vicroads, roadsafety or vehicle safety department (at a guess). They will tell you better than any salesperson will.

PCD has to be spot on 5x110 and also take note of the hub size 65.1mm
the centre hole has to match so make sure they either machine the hole out if it's too small or provide you with hubcentric spacers if the hole is too big.

They look a little bit like yours Cateo

But yours seem to have 4 holes..... unlike the 5 my car comes with!

It's VERY hard to sell off wheels with these specs. For some reason, no1 likes 4 stud 14" wheels ?? hehe.

They look exact to mine, who cares what people say, give em a burl, they cute as, I mean masculine!!! TTF BABY (did I just say that out loud?!?!)

also if they drill a set with the 5x110 PCD, make sure they are drilling a set of blanks not redrilling the current holes with a larger drill bit to try and squeeze the bolts on. cars with incorrect pcd risk shearing the bolts off
