Its for an N13 though....
It looks to be the complete ECU unit, so under the passanger seat where the stock one is, it is possible to just remove the plugs and put that one in... As for the unit being powerchiped, i cant tell.
It wont work on your astra, the engine is completly different, and the N13's went out in like the early 90's.

last n13 was in 92 :D .
they have a chip (eprom) that is easily removeable.
the early model cali had the same (very similar) motor.
as did the corsa "b" (again very similar) as the c12nz, c14nz.

My first car was an '87 N13
If i still had it i would buy that ECU.

Depends on the model of your car, it's really easy to install if your existing chip is plug-in one. Just locate the ECU and remove the old chip and plug in the new one. That's how I install my chip, thanks to tmov. But the older model Calibra's require you to solder the new chip in, so check what kind of chip lives in your car

I was thinking about a powerchip but I got rid of my '89 N13 Pulsar Q last year to swap for a Camry Sports V6. The N13 Pulsar Q (which I had for 8 years) was a rattler but a fun drive until the end when it started leaking fuel, faulty alternator, intermittent EMU faults and getting bald tyres. Managed to get $2000 for trade-in. Wonder who bought it.

:D
