This might be a daft question, but i'll ask it anyway.
At the end of the year I might be going on a holiday for a couple of months overseas. What do i have to do to my astra before i go so it'll start when i get back?
I've got an aftermarket headunit which i doesn't need a security code i don't think. can i take the battery out or will it do bad things to the ECU?

your best bet would be to get a mate or relative to take it for a quick 10-15 min spin once every two weeks would be ok.

disconnect the battery, and make sure theres not much fuel in it, then if the fuel becomes stale you can just got buy 10-20l and pour it in and your set, wouldnt hurt to do a service after you get back too. you should be right
