Well my car has finally been run in and tuned properly. MRT did a full state tune and the car managed a very healthy, albiet scary 230 kw at the wheels, so i have full electronic boost control from 7 through to 16. Trust me its fun, it will be featured in the september issue of fast fours.

I'd be especially keen to hear was work has been done to the car mechanically.

I'm especially interested in knowing what turbo you used for the application... my guess is a GT28RS or similar?

Pretty Hard with FWD, My Mate James B. is Running 4th in OZ's Fastest FWD With a 1997 CRX, Powered by a B18A running 30 PSi (Unknown Turbo) He won Auto Salon Dyno Comp. with 460 something Kilowatt @ Front Wheels. He currently runs mid 11's ET. On Slicks, Solid Driveshafts,Air Shifter,Etc.

But Good Work Opel697, Good to see us Opel/Vauxhall Boy take it to the VTEC, Nissan, Etc People. BIG THUMBS UP :)

was just goin by my dads commo runnin 12's wit 240 rwkw.
just guessed wit bout 400-600kgs less, that it would be in those times.
just a guess no more.
but traction is a big problem.

460kw @ fw, is a LOT!!!
but 30psi, wouldnt suprise me if it had no power at all till bout 5000rpm.
not havn a go, just sayn.

I know ya not having a go :)
The power does come on pretty high in the rev range due to being a VTEC.

would be funny to go people, they just see an old school astra at the lights, then get absolutley creamed  but seriously when you are driving day to day (if you do :P) is the traction ALOT of an issue?

I know of streetable 1300rwhp commodores who struggle to get single digits at the drag strip.... and its definitely not because of a lack of power.... its because they just can't put the power down properly.

And make no mistake.... setting up a FWD for maximum traction is VERY hard. Its taken us years to get where we are with FWD drag racing, and we still have a long way to go compared to the yanks.

Top effort for the 230fwkw.... is this the Maroon 4 door I say at Jamboree (last year I think)?

awsome work there mate.
Could I ask where you had the engine work done and tuned, I'm nearing the stage of getting mine tuned after big engine mods too so would like to take it to a good tuner.

The engine was built by graham wilkins performance at seven hills, all the ecu wiring and tuning was done by MRT. Hope this helps.
