i've fallen victim to the crappy Vectra B seats, mine is kinda broken, creaks lots and even lets out a nice ripping noise on left hand corners...
does anyone know where i could get some new seats, or second hand from anoth,er car?
are all seats able to be changed over, just be swapping the mounting rails on the bottom?
mayeb some grey or black ones, or leather even.
any help would be good,
i dont want "sik bro racing" brand ones. i want nice clean neat ones without logo's and stuff,
but ones that won't let me slide out!
cheers Dave.

have a look at the OBX range. rather than fully sik red blue or yellow, they also make subtle grey and black ones. prices are ranging from about 260-450 each.

integra seats are recaros aren't they? OBX make a ripoff wrx seat and ripoff recaros.

any seat will fit... you need to get the rails of your current seats and bolt them to the new seat, then bolt the rails back to the chassis.

i don't think you'll be able to find pre-fabbed rails to suit vectras. its like finding a pod filter or exhaust especially made for a vectra.

alternatively.... just find an SRi all by its lonesome in a dark, quiet, back street alley and........ nah just kidding...... that would not be very nice

my seats creak heaps too

can we change the seats on the astra and vectra but?
is it hooked to the air bag or anything like that
i know silly question but just making sure

NUTTTR

yes, the seats are hooked up to compressed air cartridges that fire in an accident... the seatbelt buckle actually pulls down HARD...... there is a sensor under the seat to detect the way the seat is moving in an accident, which is linked to airbags/seat things..... So in reality, you'd want to keep ALL of that and mounted the exact same way it is now.....
I'd be careful.... you can't just remove them, you have to get them tech2'd out of the system if i remember rightly...... try telling insurance that!

hrmm....so if i want to remove my seats and interior to run sum cables through to the boot, can i just remove my seats, or will that cause problems?

this is starting to sound fun... haha :bang:
i think i'll keep looking, i found saas seats at autobarn, but even the most subtle ones look very obviously not standard. grr.
srI seats would be nice, leather ones, then i'd have to leather all the back seat and door trims. so would be costly.

Have u looked at SRi sports seats from the Vectra in the UK, someone is selling a full interior for 70 pounds. Thats 2 front seats, rear seats and door trims.

InsaneAsylum

sounds like more trouble than it's worth now... probably better off getting your seats re-boltered and recovered in standard.

what's the go with getting something "tech2" out of your system anyway, i have hit a few ems lights in my time (cam sensor, air flow meter, iat sensor) even after raplacement they're still there, but 20 starts later or a disconnected battery.... and they're gone.

Why dont you have a look at various cars and see which seat you like, then find them at wreckers. Doesnt take much to have your seats rails changed over to the new seats. Almost all aftermarket seats will look aftermarket, thats the point of it.

another idea is to get new rails, and re-bolster ur current seats

Yeh, sure do. I didnt use my old rails, just made up brackets to fit the Celica rails and welded them on.
