Wattie

your tyres are 215/35/18...
18 inch wheels, 215mm wide tyres.

i think springs should be your next investment.

Where is your rear spoiler, i thought you bought one?

One other thing, if a cop pulls you over can he do anything about you having 18"s on your car?
Also whats the deal with insurance and you having 18"s.

1500 seems decent, i might get em if you could clear that up.

hmm yeh.. how did u deal with insurance..

hehe well its my dad's car so its my dad's incusance, i dunno, he has hanlded it, as for cops... they can pull me over and defect me, but only because the rims are 7.5" wide, the fact that they are 18's doesnt matter, it goes off diametre, which means the fact i have lowered my profiles means i am ok,

but my sotck rims are 6" wide and you are only allowed to go 1" above stock.

i will take my chances, i mean i have only been pulled up for not having a P plate (not including RBT) so i think i will be ok :P

Mitch

What year model is your car? I was told, for some odd reason, that if my car was a 2003 mode then 7.5" wide would be legal because a 17x7.5" wheel is registered for that year model.

omg mine is 2004 compliance :P who told you this mitch? that would be awsome if that was the case, maybe thats why my dad didnt go phsyco lol

The saddest thing about the Astra H is that 19's are a factory option in the UK. Are we going to see that out here? :(

Not really my taste in alloys Alex but still nice.

Nice touch, does need lowering though. Have fun cleaning the damn things, had a pair on my old '92 MR2 GT, needed to set an hour aside each Sunday for them....

looks good alex!
hows the ride? is it bumpy now with the low profiles?

all you have to do is lower it now and will look even better

Anonymous
29th June 2005, 11:31 AM
actually the ride isnt too bad, but there is a difference, once i lower it though it will get stiff i would imagine :P but the bodykit will come first

They look really good and i don't think they look like 17's, i've seen 19's of those ones on another astra and they looked awesome, thou i don't believe they are legal and they do scrape.

i'm gonna fit 19's on mine (Astra H) and they told me it should be fine cause of the 18's factory option, thus i can go 2 sizes up as long the rolling radious is the same. And they are gonna be 8' wide, my car comes with 6.5, so 1.5' is the top u can go of ur stock size = 8' and a big :D

i'm getting the rims in about 3-4 weeks depends on delivery.

the tyre price are a killer on 20's and then are the camber issues :? so i'll stick with 19' maybe end of next year when the turbo comes :D
