i went to tyre factory at dandy. Got quoted $165 for sumitomo tyres. $145 for nankang,. Which are better or they both crap. I was told the sumitomo was good, quiet and better coz of it silica compound.

wat are th full specs of your tyres that you're after? e.g. 195/60/15

i have exactly the same size as you on mine....running on nexen's....very good; no complaints...i don't drive like a granny either....

don't get the nankangs!! i got 215/40/17 nankangs on mine - annoying. they're ok brand new - for a 3 - 4 months, after that, they make a lot of road noise, and ride comfort drops as well.

also the load rating for the nankangs are pretty low.

i'm going 2 b changing mine very soon - its got 2 a point where i gotta put my music up so i can here the tyre noise!!! :x

the mechanics at holden don't recommend nankangs for the astras. even milan (from tcca motorsport) n axel (from vehicle color design) are against nankangs. n these guys r pros in their business when it comes 2 european cars.
