Removing resonator???

hi guys,
i currently have a dtm style exforce muffler on my corsa sri,
i have gotten a high flow resonator put in backwards to make a biut more noise/growl.
im still not happy with how loud it is.
has any1 removed their resonator completely?
how does it sound?

Yeh I have but it was way too loud but then again I got a 2.2 Lt :wink:

yeah my 1.8l was really loud like a rally car, try a shorter resinator,

yeh i got it taken off,
its very loud but i think im going to like it,
just taking time to learn how to balance it so it not droney
pretty happy thought, its great when accelerating hard

i have had it off before, yes its loud, yes its nice :) but you get sick of it, and it can really be bad for you car, you loose pressure and your car will fart :P

unless you got a manual then it wont fart :P but there will still be a loss in pressure

and wen i let go of the accel and jst let it slow down it makes poping sounds alot.. n i sorta like it.. is dat wot u mean by farting??

removing a resonator won't cause a loss in pressure, an oversized muffler and piping diameter causes loss in back pressure.

On a side note, if you want to remove the resonator and you find it too loud, you can compensate with a muffler that has a larger muffler body, not a larger tip

but back to loss of presure, yeh ive left the same diamater pipes, so no loss of presure, its just louder now
well over legal limit but i like it

my sri used to fart when midas did my zorst sounded like a fat lady doin one. its ok now that its been changed by another shop to 2inch
