Have you ever reset the average speed Clint?

Very weird that the average speed is that much out - how are the other displays - are they displaying normal or outrageous figures....

oh i was near the end oh my tank so i was just lookin at range, total km's and stuff.

i reset everything everytime i fuel up cause by looking at that i find it heaps more accurate than the fuel gauge, sometimes i will travel up 100 km after the fuel gauge is sitting dead with the light flashing...

im kinda confused... u would think if the average speed is at 255 that other things would be out too. ive been driving for a lot after i first seen it and its still 255. all the other screens are fine, range, total km's inst fuel, average fuel... they all use the speed wire, the one that also goes to the spedo..

im gettin fuel today so ill reset it then and see what happens. im thinking it will just be fine, i thought it must have been an error in the calculations such as division by a number nearing 0... that would cause very high numbers. and as the computer would be using byte memory types it can only use numbers between 0 and 255, therefore 255 being the highest it can go

Look at it this way mate, I'd rather have the computer telling me that the average speed is 255km/h rather than it suffering from the Pixel death that seems to plague older Vectra's MFD's... :(
