here is my SRi, first time it's been posted on this forum, or any forum for that matter, also, i was wondering wat u guys thought of these tail lights, its been photoshopped obviously..

before photoshop

after photoshop

i kinda like em, but i reckon they'd look better on a different coloured car..

yeah my car is epping road every day, from longueville down to the lights at orion road. most of the time it's not me driving tho, my gf takes the car to work, i get the bus to the city.. next time you see it honk at it and wave, i'll tell the missus to look out for ya.. what type of car are you in?

ive got these lights, they are pretty shiny, they need some sort of tinting, just maybe not as dark as shown in the chopped foto? if u could get something that was tinted to the same darkness of your car (therfore lighter than black) i think it would work.

Ohhhh yeah, it's a big wing and covers a large portion of the view out of the mirror!!! It's excellent at night as it blocks headlights :D
You have to learn to use all 3 mirrors when reversing, other than that it's not a "problem"

yeah i'd really like to sit a bit lower to the hard stuff, sad thing is, i cant get it lowered.. reason being, my driveway is a bi-atch and scrubs hard even when i angle out of it as is.. tho the lease is up in august so that will definatley get taken into consideration..

at first the rear wing is a major pain in the bullocks, i'm talking stuck in a g-clamp pain, but you do get used to it.. and yeah you definatley need to use all the mirrors and it doesnt take you long to know the dimensions of your car when reverse parking..

Namus
27th April 2005, 06:36 PM
yeah my driveway was like that; but i could angle out of it fine; it says something about ur driveway tho, that when u angle out, u still scrub hard

that's one steep driveway!!

I had to get a ramp put in on mine; cost $400 fully installed; can't remember the name of the material; will post pics up 2moro probably

27th April 2005, 06:39 PM
yeah sure is one step drive-way, dunno why they made it the way they did.. they put a big bump at the top.. i'll take a pic and post up here..

i was thinking maybe get hydrolic lifters, turn my sri into a lowrider..

oneightoo
27th April 2005, 06:39 PM
i was kidding about the lowrider btw :P

haha lol; damn...NOW u tell me

yeah i wouldn't mind a set; but i can't justify outlaying something like $300 (minimum; more like $400) for a set of these; would rather spend on el-dials for the speedo etc....

oneightoo
28th April 2005, 07:29 PM
i just think the standard tail lights look ordinary..

Namus
28th April 2005, 07:48 PM

oneightoo
28th April 2005, 07:51 PM

i think they loook awesome, take a look at them on opl-20t's car. i reckon thats one of the best astras ive seen... u could get them painted blue like your car and i think it might be ok, a little photoshop could give u an idea on how they look

Personally... I hate any non-standard looking tail-lights. Especially the Altezza style clear tail lights.

Tinted lights sort of look ok on the right car... but otherwise I think your crazy spending a few hundred $$$ on new lights.
