I'm purchasing some new wheels next week and I need some help on what there is available. Does anyone know of any good looking wheels that come in 17" shadow chrome?

get some nice lightweight racing rims if you can. there's nothing worse than adding extra weight to your car and making the engine work harder to get your wheels turning.

just go into any tyre centre, they usually have brochures or pictures of rims, and they most certainly have them hanging on the walls.. just pick out the ones that you like and ask a sales guy on the price, easy as 1, 2, 3..

Advanti stalkers; not that many cars have them surprisingly...look much better in real life than in pics....

HP design aren't bad; thought about getting them; but every 2nd feature and road car has them (that I've seen anyway)

My mate bought chrome HP Design in 18s yesterday, they're nice but I'm not waiting 10 years to get them in shadow chrome from Tempe.

I like the Advanti Stalkers, if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for yours with tyres?

tempe had heaps late december (they only released them in 4-stud about then). i got them very quickly, paid for them the day after boxing day (a wednesday) and got them on the friday morning. they were sent up from there to me in brisbane. dam quick :shock:

I like the Advanti Stalkers, if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for yours with tyres?

for 17's; around the $1500 mark....i didn't pay this much as I got mate rates....very simple yet very effective wheel; put it with a lowering job and looks slick and simple IMO 8)

yea actually i have noticed that they are becoming too popular too :( its like the rap songs that always turn teenie bopper... :( anyways he might not be going for something different, i love the look of both sets they suit the astra's shape nicely :D

It's ok if they're a popular choice of wheels, I'm not trying to impress anyone so if I like them that's all that matters. I'm leaning towards the Advanti Stalkers, getting some prices tomorrow for them.

for your budget, check out the lenso range of wheels. tempe may have some specials on atm as well

WOOHOO!! Sweet as champ; get shadow chrome; u have the advantage of saying that it's " not chrome", but in even half decent sunlight can still have it look like chrome.....

I just found out Advanti don't make Stalkers anymore and they only have silver left in stock. :cry:
Their new range will be out in two weeks..

Here's another one I seen that I liked when I was asking about the Advanti's. It's not shadow chrome but still looks good.

Has to be 17x7 in either chrome or shadow chrome. I get my car back this week and I need new tyres bad but don't know what rims to get. :(

u say in ur post that u want 17x7 right?

but in ur signature (at the bottom of ur post) u say "coming soon: 18" wheels"

oh and to answer ur question: my advice would be to get some brochures from wheel place, or to visit www.modifymycar.com for some more ideas...brochures would be better as they give u the sizes (e.g. 17x7; 18x7.5 etc)
