loosing petrol

hi,
Last saturday night i was driving and and stopped at lights and the car behind me told me i had something leaking out of the car, so i pulled over and noticed petrol pouring out all over the place. (i knew cause i could smell it :wink: )
I took it home and left it till the moring when i stared it and it poured out again so, monday it went to McGraths they didnt know what to do ???
It was off the road for a few days until some clips got sent from melbourne. All up most of a tank was lost, i filled it up that morning too
How weird is that !, it turned me off astras now, i dont want it any more..

Sounds like one of the clips on the fuel line broke! It's pretty easy as they hang quite low, mine scrape the ground every now and again..... makes me wonder, but it's why i got warranty :)

coz i put $54 petrol on tuesday
driven 170kms and its half a tank
that petrol went by way too fast!

A friend had the same problem with his high undies (Hyundai) Elantra and it was a stone that made a hole in the rubber hose from driving down dirt roads.
