Gran Turismo 4 prices

in case anyone is interested, i bought GT4 for $72 today.

the cheapest around is from Big W for $78.44, but if you take the latest catalog from them and take it to Megamart you can get it for $72. Megamart have a policy that they will beat any price, or within 30 days of purchase refund 110% of the difference of a competitor.

Megamart are advertising the game for $84 along with Kmart and Target that i know of (in Victoria).

At my Electronics Boutique store anyway (at Mt Ommaney), if u take a (current obviously :roll: ) catalogue in and show them that Big W have it at say $72 or wateva, they will price match it 8)

got it for 79.95.

This is after a fight with the Electronics Boutique ijiots at Chadstone. They had it for 99.95. I go up to the counter to query this.

Me: Hi, I notice you have GT4 for 99.95. My mate bought it at your city store for 80. (This is legit too - I was not telling them porkies)
Her: Really, were they price matching?
Me: No, he walked in, saw it, bought it.
Her: Oh, hang on, I just need to check something.
(Ijiot goes to 14 year old manager who mumbles something to her)
Her: Um, they are out of stock.
Me: Yeah.... so?
Her: We only price match stores that have the product in stock.
Me: Errrrr.... you're the same company!!!!!
Her: Yeah, I know, it doesnt make sense, but thats the policy.
Me: Well, you're police is ridiculous. You can look up the Dick SMith website and see that they have it for 84.
Her: Ok, Ok, we'll do it for 79.95
Me: That will be AMEX thanks (3% surcharge - suck on that EB)

This is the second time EB games in Chaddy have been complete tossers. The last time I am ever going to that store....
