astra sri turbo 2004

[for $800]

hey guys new here, just bought a 2004 sri turbo off gumtree that wouldnt turn on for $800, and yeh thats where the name comes from... :steve:
i have just got it running, it is unregistered and probably not roadworthy... it is not running perfectly and stinks like pure petrol... any advice, previous experiences are greatly appreciated. also looking for someone that would be willing to tune it for the right price, cheers. im only 17 so previous car experience is at an all time low:facepalm2:

Welcome mate. Have you taken the plugs out ? Do a "peddle test" and see what codes come up.

hey mate yeh have taken the plugs out twice, just waiting to earn some money before i buy some new plugs, but i have cleaned them temporarily with brake and parts cleaner.
also i think the boost controller isnt set up properly... also what do you mean by peddle test? thanks for your response

bcs can be faulty or vacuum pipes cracked / disconnected, a split diaphragm on your actuator also makes it run quite bad or maf sensor dead - wires broken. Pedal test; http://www.opelaus.com/forums/showthread.php?28670-Fault-Codes-How-Do-I-Check&highlight=pedal+test
