Mounts are good diff is good my son had the exact same problem with a 2002 Mitsubishi tj Ralliart and it was the centre support drive shaft bearing...I was so sure that when I replaced that in the vxr it would be problem solved lol...

That’s a real head scratcher! Drive shaft phasing, or driveline angles? Clutching at straws here! Does anyone else have the same problem with this model?

Can you simulate any play with the car off the ground?

have you replaced the inner tie rod ends or just the outers.
Also, sounds silly, but were the wheels balanced by the same shop every time?

Well guys had rims and tyres re balanced for a 4th time still no difference had a mate come over with his Sri astra I swapped wheels and BINGO problem solvered.....so the new wheels that were put on have made the steering shake from day one the 2 front tyres had worn badly while back ones were fine....so there is definitely a problem with the wheels now to try and get something done about it as the tyre shop have known about the problem from day 1....

They should have seen the runout on the wheels while they were balancing them
