IF your mate can get himself down to Canberra, the ACT Govt has a number of Astras on fleet and they go to auction generally at about 2 years of age...do a search on www.pickes.com.au under Canberra.

i think he knows abt pickles, fowles and autogroup which are the 3 most well advertised auction houses/groups.

exfleet astra....hmmm....i think he has something against ex-fleets.

how abt repo? do they end up in big auctions or are they scattered across smaller auction houses?

Not sure if your papers are similar in your classified sections to Melbournes, but usually they will list the auction houses somewhere in the classifieds section such as police auctions, creditors auctions and so on. But this is usually done by an auction house on their behalf. Most of the time they list the items.
