Hi Guys,

With much regret I have traded in my turbo(well at least tomorrow its gone  ).......

I'm trading into a 100 series LC, I know its on the other end of the scale as far as vehicles go, but the turbo was an impulse purchase, as I was lookin into 4x4 then......

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to attend the Byron cruise (unless you guys want to wait for a 2.5 tonne cruiser!!) as I will be Opel-less.

I would like to to say thats been great being part of this club, and I hope the QLD section just keeps growing at this awesome rate. You guys made cruising to no where in particular a lot of fun....

Thanks again

Julian (BoostedAstra)

I know I should consulted Donna, but I had to do it on the spur of the moment as I thought I'd back out.....

I'd still love to come on the Bryon cruise if thats cool, although no speed testing for me!! I promise if I see an OpelAus sticker, I wont run em over

So does that mean I join Shao as part of the dark side?.....On the pluse side guys if any thing ever happens to one of the cars cruising, you can call me to get towed for the cost of the fuel!!

Quite simply Shao, leather and only two doors.....not practical enough any more. I will miss the throw ya back into the seat feel but I can soon do rear wheel stands whilst going up steep hills

If I make the Byron cruise, for sure, beach joy rides for every one who attends, after all its a 7 seater

Good luck with the new car Julian - great choice in my opinion :D

This would probably be a good time to mention to everyone that i went looking at a Toyota Hilux V6 Dualcab 4wd on the weekend...........

Thanks Steven, I do intend to stick around as I still love the SriT, just not practical anymore.....Also Shao needs help getting toyota to infiltrate the OpelAus site

The car went yesterday and was quite emotional over the whole thing, its really wierd not seeing it in the garage anymore.....

Mrbenno it was traded for 24k, I know of another one(GF work mate) that was dealer traded for the exact same amount(I spoke with about 10 dealers in Brisbane.) I think the Arden Blue is still the best color, however I was advised that the blk SriT are holding value better than any other and more than likely worth at least a grand more..... cue blue vs blk debate.

I wasn't too worried over the above price as the new car is valued at just over 10 grand more than the purchase price.....The sales guy quoted me the wrong price(didn't check and had to honor it)
