Looking at a possible full respray or individual panels resprayed on my AH Astra (bonnet and roof). Have heard prices can vary enormously. Its a metallic blue, so we are talking about base coat and clear coat. No dings to repair. Any comments or ideas?
Cheers

There's one i just wouldn't recommend (not naming any names but rather well known this side of the coast and does most of the panel repairs here too) have no experience with any others.

I think I know who you mean Dutchy, I have heard similar warnings from others as well. Does anyone have a rough idea how much a full respray might cost?

A decent respray will be 6k+

One of my best mates is a professional spray painter. For a full respray with me helping to do the prep work is $2k. That's pretty much just covering materials

For that price, I would seriously consider a road trip to adelaide!

You could always wrap the bonnet and roof.

Having seen a Golf last week close up with a bonnet wrap, I must say that I did love it at first but upon close inspection its not that nice. ANY imperfections will show up through the wrap. Maybe the only time it comes out nice is if the car is brand new.

^yep

Wrapping will essentially magnify/hilight any imperfections
