I have a 2003 TS Opel / Astra 1.8 with a Z18XE petrol engine purchased used. Can anybody advise which models were fitted with a cooling fan in front of the aircon condensor ?
Mine has none, although condensor does have mountings.
Cannot see any provision in the front wiring loom, but my aircon mechanic insist that the system is getting too hot causing it to vent refrigerent gas.
Radiator fan cycles on / off and maintains coolant temp at a steady 90 degrees.
However, when stationary and idling with aircon ON, the condensor gets extremely hot by the time the radiator fan cuts in.
