Hi guys Ive been sifting through the threads on this site and its very interesting reading.
Me .. I have a 2001 Barina that is giving me trouble ATM, hence my initial reason for joining..
hoping to get some ideas as to what my issue might be and share some of my own experience..

Thanks a lot for the welcome messages.. lots of great info and other stuff on this site.............. Hopefully I can get my XC back on the road soon and enjoy driving it again.

Im literally on route to hobart now. Im currently about an hour north. Im here til tomorrow arvo when I leave for the airport. Il see if I can get time away from work to come down and have a look at the corsa.

Mate.. that would be awesome, and really nice of you to offer. The car is actually at my girlfriends house which is about 15 mins from the airport.
I could pick you up and drop you back to airport for your flight if you can fit it in.. I can pick you up in Hobart or what ever suits you. I am available all day Friday. it would be easier to arrange over the phone.. Many thanks.. Dave

Problem has been solved. It turned out to be an ECU component. The drivers for the coil. Had to send the ECU, key unit and the unit behind the dash to Melbourne. its going better than ever now. Thanks for all the advice.
