Hey guys,

Most of you who follow my thread will know I'm getting a new engine (same 1.8) dropped in to my car shortly.

Just wondering if there's anything specific I should tell the guys to do/replace/clean on the new engine while it's chilling outside the bay? Are there any upgrade parts that can be installed WAY easier when it's out?

Cheers

Water pump and timing kit would be way easier to do with the motor out I would say.

I'd just sit in the empty engine bay with a beer while the engine is out as that might be the only chance you have :)

I'd give it a good clean too while all is out.

Yep they're already doing both while it's out but thanks for the suggestion!

Rear main seal!

Thanks mate, I'll let them know! What exactly does it seal...?

I wish! It'll be at the mechanics during the whole process so I don't think I'll get to play around in the empty bay :( Will definitely be getting a clean too because there'll be sooooo much oil around the bay. Can't wait to see it sparkling again!

Cheers guys
