SB Barina Iginition Issues

Hi
Have Sb Barina 1.2, Car starts and idles well but when taking off the lights it coughs and splutters a bit then runs fine. Thinking it's coil,leads or something Any help would be great.

Hi there,

Check your spark plugs and leads (replace if necessary), change fuel filter under the car if you haven't done it recently. Also give your throttle body a good clean out with some carby cleaner (may need an old toothbrush or rag to get some of the bits inside). Try running some injector cleaner next time you fill up too.

Advance the dizzy a tiny bit if its a C12.

Thanks for the help guys, Would you believe a mate gave me an air filter that fitted straight in. Changed it back to the old one and car is running fine, no hiccups or coughs. Still going to change fuel filter, leads, plugs etc.
