Hey guys and girls, i just recently purchased a 2003 Astra SRI turbo, after owning a few V8 commodores, skylines and a Liberty B4 i must say i was suprised just how good the little astra goes.

was completely stock when i got it, 155k km full log books and reciepts serviced every 5000 km's 5 timing belt changes in 10 years so it has been well looked after.

i have been quite busy in the last 2 weeks importing gear from the UK for it lol.

it now has the following mods:

2 1/2 inch S/S decat dump pipe.
2/1/2 inch mild steel exhaust with 100 cell cat, 18" resonator and Xforce rear muffler
2.2L Deresticted airbox with AFM Relocation. waiting for oil breather hose to arrive to be plumbed back with filter within airbox.
Larger tophat + Powerpipe (ugly black rubber hoses atm, waiting for blue silicone to arrive

I have a flash map for it ready to go, just waiting for the cable to arrive so i can actually put it on.

Welcome along mate. Should be a good thing once you've got the mods and tune on board.

Welcome! Blue is the best colour for these! Your pics made me realise I have to clean mine : (

After the remap and a little suspension work, you'll embarrass most Commodores and Falcons through the corners. Which is nice.

Not to mention you'll keep up with them in the straights too ;)

Made me realize I do too

Welcome you will love the car, i wish I still had my SRiT . Just keep the mods sensible ie, not hard suspension and loud exhaust and they are a great daily drive.

Thanks for all the nice comments, as far as suspension goes it has the stock SRI T springs but it has KYB shocks all round, previous owner replaced them about 20k kms ago. i am actually quite happy with the ride height for a change, it is nice to go over bumps faster than 1km/h like i had to in the commodore silly ultralows. i dont think i will be going any lower however if i ever decide to track it will definetly be putting on some beefy anti roll bars.

The exhaust on it now is quite strange, it is fairly quiet till you hit boost and then it screams.

Welcome, and very nice. I have had a 2003 SRi T since new and am still enjoying it, but remember this, if don't look after them they break. And mods can but certainly not always cause trouble. So enjoy.
