HELP! Astra AH Temperature Light not lighting up

Hi all,

Could someone please tell me if the Temperature Warning Light/indicator should be on for a second or so when the key is in position 2 or On? Mine does not come on at all. Is it a faulty lamp indicator?

I don't think I have seen this Temperature Warning Light indicator ON before. It looks like I might have to replace this SMD LED if I can buy one from somewhere or live with it :(

PS: I have already tried resetting the ECU and disconnect the battery still no Temp/Coolant light.

ive got two of these cars have never seen this light illuminated at any time

Thanks for your reply. I gathered that much from online searching.

It's a bit strange from Opel that this light is not part of the start-up sequence just to make sure that it still works just in case it needs to report the engine overheating.
