Yes, and goes surprisingly well, too (http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/08/the-best-of-both-worlds/). Although to be honest, it's not your usual Calibra engine, or your usual S15 Silvia for that matter...

The Cosworth KF V6 in that car has very little to do with the road going Opel V6s. Still, given how high those engines can rev would send a few shivers up ones spine for sure.

Figured there had to be more to it. Are they even based off an opel v6 motor?

odd conversion, i would have put a 2.0/2.2 SR20VE into it instead but thats just my preference!

Considering it peaks at nearly 12k rpm, yeah I'd imagine you'd be feeling a few shivers :) very unique, I like it

Don't think so, AFAIK it was designed and built by Cosworth as a straight out race engine.
