Finally replaced the center dash consol

After reading about problems with sanding and repainting the rubbery finish
I opted for a new dash from England. $80 delivered.
I thought that was pretty good. Also like the look of the black and silver instead of the grey finish.

I was really suprised how much difference this made to the apearance and feel inside the car.

There are no real problems if you wanted to re-spray the centre console (I've done mine twice) it just needs to be done properly, ie. total removal of the polycarb based coating, but it would cost a lot more than $80 :)

I have ordered this dash from http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261127933750?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 and it is on its way to me. I have also started wrapping the remaining bits in 3M 1080 Carbon fibre wrap starting with OBD II cover to get the same look.
