Thought I'd better join up, even though I don't get to pick it up for a week or so. Saw it sitting in the lot at Berwick Opel and it was lust at first sight. Will be selling the bike come spring as the OPC will be the only ride from now on.

Welcome :)
Did you buy the demo one there with the OPC signage on it?

Yup, but the signage is being removed. I had a choice, sleep in the car, or have it removed. And it's too cold in the car at the moment!

Got the plates as well.

Hi mickos, missed this reply. I had (still have, but it's on blocks until I sell it in Spring) a 2010 Kawasaki 1400GTR. A lazy mans' bike for sure, gel seat, top box & back pad (for the Mrs) and cruise control. Yup, CC - I've got some arthritus in my hands (esp. the right one) and it was useful to flex it every now and again.
But it's got a bit much now, and when we were walking the dogs a couple of weeks back...

Nice one OPC, welcome to the club, like many i looked at the berwick model, am test driving a Arden Blue in SA this Thurs which will be fully optioned 20's & AFL package, the test drive is really only a formality as i already have a 2003 SRIT so know the build quality is great, just time to upgrade is all, mine should be ready end of July, fingernails will be real short by then

anyway happy drivin mate.

I'd like to thank you all for your welcomes, by the way. Just remember, this is probably a mid-life crisis that I'm going through here (if you can call swapping from a 115kW/279kg vehicle to a 206kW/1494kg vehicle a 'crisis'). And I do turn 50 in less than 4 weeks - so if I start going on about 'the old days' or 'you young whipper-snappers', then please pull me into line. :)

+1. Even if I am a young whipper snapper! Haha

Lucky I've got no kids - so you can't be calling me "grandpa"!

I figure I'm like a good wine, when I was younger, I was good (if a bit rough), but now I'm a lot smoother. I'm just a bit worried when I start to go downhill after the peak...
